Registered Dental Hygienist
Kisa began her path to become a Registered Dental Hygienist at Ferris State
University. Since her graduation in 2001, she has been working passionately in
the dental field since has become Laser Certified. She has been with Dr.
Arbutante since 2002.
Kisa has been happily married since 2001 and has 4 amazing children:
Jillaena,Keyan, Lochlan, and Muirek.
She loves to going to the beach and going on family road trips, particularly to
National Parks and she also has chickens.
Kisa’s favorite movie is Back to the Future and her favorite dessert is her mom’s
chocolate éclair. Kisa’s favorite ice cream is Moose Tracks.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Michelle graduated from Ferris State University in Applied Science in Dental
Hygiene. She has been with Dr. Arbutante since 2003.
Michelle loves helping people with their oral health but also loves connecting with
her patients.
Michelle and her husband Grant have 2 wonderful daughters and a son-in-law.
She also has 2 granddaughters.
Michelle loves spending time with family. She also likes to bike, hike and kayak.
She also enjoys walking her dog Willa everyday.
Her favorite ice cream is cookie dough and her favorite movie is Weekend at
Bernies
Scheduling Coordinator
Lauren completed her dental careers program at Careerline Tech Center and
pre-recs at Grand Rapids Community College. Lauren has worked chairside and
at the front office are since entering dentistry in 2021 and found patient care
coordination is where she thrives.
Lauren has a golden retriever named Jaxon and tries to convince her husband
Riley that they need another one.
When not at work, Lauren enjoys traveling, hiking and staying active at the gym.
She also enjoys tackling home projects, spending time in her garden and baking
all things sourdough-which insired her to start a small micro-bakery.
Lauren’s favorite top movie’s are: Sweet Home Alabama, Happy Gilmore and
The Parent Trap.
Her favorite dessert is Moose-traxs with a warm brownie.
Lauren enjoys building relationships with patients and helping create a positive
and welcoming experience from the moment anyone comes through the door.
Dental Assistant
RaQuale started her training at Ross Medical Education in 2014 and started
working as a dental assistant in 2015. She has been with Dr Arbutante since
2020.
RaQuale has an adorable son and a pet fish called, “Fish”. RaQuale enjoys
traveling, reading and spending time with her family in her spare time.
RaQuale’s favorite movie is Transformers. Favorite dessert is Cheese cake and
Favorite ice cream is Superman.
Dental Assistant
Heather completed her dental assistant training at Ross Medical Education in
2021. She did her externship with Dr. Arbutante and joined Dr. Arbutante full time
in November of 2022.
Heather got married to her husband Phillip in 2024 and have has a daughter and
a son. She also has 2 cats name Romeo and Juliet and a dog named Maizey.
Heather enjoys spending time with her kids and walking her dog on her free time
Heather’s favorite movie is Point Break, favorite dessert is brownies and her
favorite ice cream is any kind without nuts in it.
The best thing she enjoys about dental assisting is her patients loving their smile
after their treatment.
Billing and Insurance Coordinator
April initially went to school for dental hygiene, however due to unforeseen life
events, had to change her focus to medical office specialist. April worked in the
medical field for 13 years before returning to dental in 2021. April starting working
with Dr Joe in March 2026.
April has 2 sons Cullen and Cillian, and a bonus daughter, Kinlea.
April lives in Spring Lake with her long-term boyfriend, Dennis, and their two cats,
Beatrice and Elouise.
April loves music, particularly rock music, so she tries to attend as many concerts
as she can. April also loves lifting weights. She also enjoys sunbathing while
reading and of course, spending time with her family.
Her favorite ice cream is Traverse City Cherry Fudge and favorite movie is
Tommy Boy.
Dental Hygienist
Marie graduated from Utah Tech with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.
From there she worked in Virginia and then moved to Michigan where she
started working for Dr. Joe in December of 2022.
Maire has a calico cat name Tansy.
Marie enjoys raising Meat rabbits, reading fantasy books, writing novels and
playing cozy computer games like Stardew Valley.
Marie’s favorite movie is Megamind and favorite book is Pride of Chanur.
Administrative Assistant
Terrie went to Grand Rapids Educational Center for their Dental Assisting
Program. She then started working the dental in 1989 and started working with
Dr. Arbutante in 2025.
Terrie has 3 children-Jonathan, Meaghan and Cameron. Terrie is married to her
husband Chad. She has 2 dogs named Dax and Luna.
When not working, Terrie she likes to go to University of Michigan football games
in the fall and in the summer enjoys hanging out with the family and their dogs.
Her favorite ice cream is Chocolate salted caramel. Her favorite dessert is
Rasberry-lemon cheesecake and her favorite movie is Elf.

Dr Arbutante and staff always do an excellent job with yearly check ups and cleanings. They were very helpful in scheduling a quick emergency checkup due to tooth discomfort. I was quickly scheduled even during holiday timing. Thank you Dr Arbutante and staff!

I have been a patient with Arbutante, DDS for nearly three years. They are excellent in an emergency (broken crown) and for going cleanings, fillings, etc. Their staff is knowledgeable, professional, and top of all, they are nice people. I highly recommend this group.

Had a crown that broke and called Joe’s emergency number and left a message and he responded very promptly! Was my first time seeing Joe and he and his staff were wonderful! They were able to get me in right away and Joe took care of my issue very quickly! If you need any dental services i would highly recommend Joe and staff!

I received my first crown ever today. Dr. Joe and his assistant were very friendly and put me at ease. I was impressed with the amount of time spent on sizing my temporary crown. I’ll be back next week for my permanent one which seems fast. The receptionist is always very warm and nice at checkout.
